PorcupineTree and their video and art director Lasse Hoile.
Over 100 time-lapse shots were undertaken in a two month period in late 2006 / early 2007.
After extensive post-production manipulation by Lasse Hoile, they were utilised as projections during
live shows by the band whilst promoting the new album FEAR OF A BLANK PLANET.Thematically the emphasis was on the increasingly electronic, impersonal environments that children, and
to some extent adults, are increasingly submerged in, and their subsequent retreat from the 'real world'.
A selection from the sessions are presented here as raw, untouched images, captured as seen.
